Early morning track workout at Cottonwood. It was almost 80 degrees and very windy at 6:00 am. I knew these conditons would make for a hard workout. Plus, it has been about 3 weeks since my last time on the track so I knew it was going to hurt.

6x800 (400 meter recovery jog) + 2x400 (1 minute rest): 2:54, 2:52, 2:54, 2:54, 2:54 2:54, 84, 83. My splits were a lot slower than I wanted (I was hoping for 2:49ish) and they all felt really hard. I've definitely lost some speed. BUT, this is a good place to start from and I'm motivated to really get running fast this summer.

nice work. it was amazingly hot this morning -- didn't cool off at all last night! you had tough conditions to work with but still pulled off some great splits.

at 6am this morning i was doubled over and about to puke, so it's probably best i didn't join you. :)
