18 miles with Emily. We started at Murray Park and ran over to 4500 South and up 500 East to Allie's old stomping grounds (Liberty Park). Then we ran back on 700 East to 2100 South, looped around Sugarhouse Park and back to 4500 South on Highland. Poor Emily fell at mile 15 and got a bloody knee/hands. She shook it off like Taylor Swift and kept running. She is awesome! We both had stomach issues but our legs felt good and we kept a fast pace. 7:02 AP.

Solid!

Are you running a marathon this fall?

No marathon this fall. I decided to take a break this year from 26.2. I am shooting for LA in March. It's gonna be SOOOO fun training through the winter months. Ugh. BUT, LA should be an awesome experience. VIP treatment from Asics will make all the cold training worth it.

Winter is all about being flexible. Workouts will be slower... sometimes you just have to slog out miles in the cold... but you definitely get mentally tough if you train through it!

I actually think it's easier to train for a marathon over the winter than half-marathon or shorter races.
